Professional Counseling, Pregnancy Consulting & Trained Phone Consultants

Concepts of Truth's National Helpline for Abortion Recovery is staffed by individuals who have degrees in counseling and some who do not. The director, Millie Lace is a master's level Licensed Professional Counselor and has a specialization in supervision in the state of Arkansas. All of our pregnancy consultants and national helpline staff have received training in crisis and grief counseling, but some do not have academic degrees in counseling, nor are they licensed by the state. So, our peer consultation and phone counseling is not intended as a substitute for professional counseling, medical or prenatal care. Professional Counseling is provided on a sliding scale based on income and need but there is no charge for our preganancy care or phone consulting. All information is completely confidential.

Concepts of Truth does provide professional counseling on a sliding scale based on income and need. Staff licenses are stated during the client intake and clients are assessed and referred for services as needed. We are striving to communicate hope and understanding with each client interaction offering affordable outpatient services for life issues involving, but not limited to sexual health, pregnancy, sexual abuse and abortion recovery for adolescents and adults.

At Concepts of Truth we listen carefully to the client's situation and needs because we sincerely care about people's mental health and well-being. We are helping to promote individual worth and dignity promoting complete wellness with respect of each person served. Our experienced staff provide valuable information to youth, women and men about life alternatives and healing after abortion.

Phone Consulting includes assessing the caller's needs, getting permission to send a packet of resources, follow up and offering local referrals to local providers for abortion recovery.

Individual and group professional counseling services for abortion recovery includes interventions in grief therapy.

Pregnancy Care/Consulting includes helping the client explore the following options:

    2. Choosing parents through adoption

Our experienced staff provide helpful and practical insights so clients can make informed decisions. Clients earn points through our "Earn While You Learn" program while learning about the stages of pregnancy, how to care for a baby, or how to improve parenting skills. Points allow clients to gain necessary items they need for their baby including baby clothes, layette items, diapers, etc. Contact us.

If you are pregnant and not sure that you want to parent the baby, you might be thinking of making an adoption plan. Adoption has changed over the years and now the birthmother can make the decisions about what type of adoption she would like and even who will adopt her baby. Concepts of Truth is a professional counseling and care preganancy center and we do not provide prenatal or any other medical care. All clients are responsible for seeking and obtaining their own medical care. A licensed physician must confirm the pregnancy test result regardless of the outcome: positive, negative, or inconclusive. Concepts of Truth does not provide or make referrals for abortion or emergency contraception; nor does Concepts of Truth provide information on how or where to obtain an abortion or emergency contraception.
